Throughout my experiences, I have learned many helpful skills that will equip me for my future endeavors. By working as an Area Management Intern at Amazon, I learned how to be a self-starter and think outside the box. During my internship, I was able to hone in on my Microsoft Excel skills and explore how tools like this can be helpful in real-world instances. I also worked to complete a project that I did not have any prior knowledge about. I talked with upper level executives, as well as team members in my building. By the end of the summer, I delivered a project that brought network-wide changes to Amazon Fulfillment Centers!

As a Banquet Server and Bartender at Pine Island Country Club, I learned helpful customer service skills that taught me that the customers needs come first. Sometimes, a polite smile and friendly attitude can completely change how a person sees me. Working as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Heritage Golf Club, taught me how to use my customer service skills to deal with conflict. As a future manager, learning how to deal with conflict will be an extremely important skill to have. I also managed a full staff of employees, created the weekly schedule, and made supply orders on a bi-weekly basis.

Most importantly, working as an On-Campus Recruiting and Operations Students Assistant for UNC Charlotte Football showed me how I could connect my workplace skills to my passion for sports. Through this postions, I gained experience planning and organizing Recruitment events like hosting recruits on game days, unofficial visits, and organizing large Official Visit Weekends. I created itineraries, set up and decorated for events, advanced to venues to ensure smooth events, and worked closely with coaches and upper-level staff. This position taught me the importance of muli-tasking and staying organized through times of chaos.
